Capstone Project
May 2016 – July 2016 & January 2017 – May 2017 (6 months)
Designed and prototyped an electromechanical opioid pill dispensing bottle. The bottle dispensed medication in accordance with doctor specified time intervals and prescribed dosage. It required a user pin code to be unlocked, and incorporated an optical sensor, a solenoid locking mechanism, an Arduino Mini, and batteries inside the housing.
Interview Design Challenges
Designed creative solutions to design challenges presented by 2 different companies. Applied thorough calculations for stress loading at critical points of failure, created solid models in SolidWorks CAD, and analyzed models using FEA for fatigue and static loading scenarios.
Other Interests
My other interests include traveling (I have been to 14 countries in 5 different continents; still in counting), tutoring and hosting mentoring programs, working out, and spending time with my family.
